According to the Federal and State laws, they mandate that the state of Texas report the progress of technology in our schools. In order to evaluate a campus’ progress, The Texas Campus STaR Chart measures such progress towards goals of the Long Range Plan for Technology. In addition, it is used for planning, budgeting for resources, and evaluations.
The STaR chart showed that our campus’ greatest strength was Leadership, Administration, & Instructional Support. I do agree with this assessment because our entire district has outstanding leadership and administration. Our district has been named in numerous magazines as top performing district and had many articles written about it. This is due to the leadership ability of our superintendent. The district mission and vision are clear to everyone at our South Texas I.S.D. family.

Questions with transition to junior high???
As I pondered on the question of narrowing down the topic of my action research project, somehow junior high kept coming back to my mind. It seems that the middle school years are ones that many parents and families become less involved in as compared to elementary years.
Internet Safety and Cyberbullying
The students leaders of our district are constantly being recognized for their accomplishments at the local, state, and even national level. Our district is an exemplary district that is an example to many others throughout the state. For this reason, I have found that it is necessary that we set the tone for other districts as well by also preparing our students for all the dangers that come along with all of the online technology that they are engaged in.
