As indicated from the data collected in our week three assignment by using the campus and district improvement plans as well as the local and state technology plans, this Action Plan shows that the need for Educator Preparation and Development is needed at our district. For this reason training and support will be implemented at all campuses for the benefit of all of the teachers and staff. In this way they can better understand the tools that our district is offering and implement them into the curriculum which best fits the needs of the students. The district will therefore provide ongoing support and availability of technical support as well to all staff and teachers. Opportunities to be trained will occur throughout the year in order to assure that all of the proper uses are being practiced in the classroom.
Evaluation and assessments will also be provided by administration on an ongoing basis in order to make sure that all is well in the classrooms and that student and teachers feel comfortable with the observation. When conducting observations, administrators will use I-pads in order to model technology practices.
The district will also provide training to bring all teachers, library personnel, and administrators into compliance with SBEC proficiencies. In addition 100% of teachers and campus principals will complete the teacher STaR Chart by sht state assigned deadline. Furthermore, once a year teachers, principals, the director of technology, will be entered into the on-line system at the TEA website.
Our district will provide planning and supporting resources, such as services, software, and other electronically delivered learning materials, or print resources that will be acquired to ensure successful and effective integration of technology into all classrooms, libraries and administrative offices. Technology planning will begin at the campus level collaboratively developed by campus administrators and teachers on a campus technology committee-guiding policy and practice. All campuses will continue to have a campus technology plan from until the end of the year.
